If you applied in person, and have an original divorce application to serve, these need to be mailed to us, as the address below.
If you need to generally serve a sealed document; the refers to the court seal, or court stamp, indicating they have been processed. This is what your forward on to us to serve. You can forward these, along with your instructions, that is the cover sheet which provides the details of the person to be served (such as if they work, or likely times when home, telephone numbers, address, and if available a half A4 photograph), and your details including postal address, contact telephone number, and email address. You also need to attach payment as either a cheque or money order, made out to The Private Group Process Server, as as an electronic transfer, detailed below.
Address for postage is, The Private Group Process Servers, PO Box 2245, Idalia, Q, 4811. We recommend that you use express post as a minimum, when mailing, and pass the document over the counter at the post office, so it is tracked from the start. If you don't have a cheque book, or access to EFT, you can obtain a money order at the Post Office.
Many court documents are now electronic documents. Examples include a divorce application, some QCAT documents, and many Family law documents. You can apply for a divorce, in Australia, online, through the Federal Circuit Court portal. You upload your documents, pay the court fee, they process the documents, and place the processed PDFs in your pidgeon hole, in the court portal. These PDFs can be downloaded, then forwarded as an attachment to an email, to us for service. We serve a divorce application, and provide an affidavit of service. The legislation has been changed to permit this. These documents do not become the court originals we serve until such time as we print them out. We are experienced in these processes.
